Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim
Assalammualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Bacalah!

[Syed Qutb: Fi Zilal al-Quran (Di Bawah Bayangan al-Quran)]

[Hadith Riwayat Abu Daud]

[al-Hadid 57:20]

Mari kita ijlis bina nu'min sa'ah (duduk sebentar & beriman sejenak). Ini adalah peringatan bagi diri saya juga. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'uun. Allahumma ya muqqalibal qulub, thabbits qulubana 'ala deenik. Ameen.

Assalammualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

The thousand mile trip is started by a single step [Arab Proverb]

In a hadith qudsi, narrated by Abu Hurairah r.a.: "The Prophet s.a.w said: Allah s.w.t says: I am just as My slave thinks of Me. I am, (i.e. I am able to do what he thinks, I can do for him) and I am with him if he remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group, I remember him in a group that is better than them; and if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running."

Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim

The closer we want to be to Allah, the more istiqamah we have to be in our ibadah. Bittaufiq wan-najah.

1. Sitting After Subuh Solah

"Whomsoever prays Al-Ghadaa (Fajr) in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until sunrise, then prays two rak'ats of Solah has a complete reward of Hajj and Umrah." The Prophet SAW repeated the word 'complete' three times for emphasis.
[HR Tirmidhi]

2. Praying the Twelve Sunnat Prayers Each Day

"Allah will build a house in Jannah for whomsoever that is diligent in observing 12 Sunnat Rak'ahs (as follows): 4 rak'ahs before and 2 after Dhuhr, 2 after the Maghrib, 2 after 'Ishaa, and 2 before Fajr."
[HR Tirmidhi]

[HR at-tirmidhi]

5. Providing Food To Break The Fast

6. Standing In Solah On Laylatul Qadr

"Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months." (AL-QUR'AN 97:3)
Note: Better than a thousand months means that it is superior than approximately 83 years of worship!

7. Remember Allah When Going Shopping

"Whomsoever enters a market and recites:
'Laa ilaha illallah wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu yuhyi wa yumeetu wa huwa hayyun laa yamoot, bi yadihil khair, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shayin qadeer...' (Meaning: 'There is nothing worthy of worship except Allah, alone without partner, to Him belongs dominion and praise, He causes life and feath and He is the Living and does not die. With him is all the good, and He is over all things competent.') Allah will write for him/her a million good deeds and erase a million bad deeds and raise him/her a million levels."
[HR at-Tirmidhi]

Pause

Assalammualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim

When we want to do something good, there will always be a test from Allah to see how far we are determined to execute the good deeds that we intend to do. Subhanallah. There is no cure and way out of this except patience. Whatever we want to do, it must be laced with ikhlas (sincerity), ihsan and patience.

We have Allah.
Allah is enough for us
We are on a journey to Allah
To gain Allah's love
To gain Allah's redha
BUT
If we claim that we love Allah
Why are we still doing all the things that Allah forbids us to do?
Why are we not doing the things that we are supposed to do?
Allah have given us a manual - al-Quran
Allah provides us with a perfect example - Rasulullah s.a.w (sunnah)
All of us are mere human
Everyone is the same
What differs us is, our level of taqwa
BUT
Only Allah knows that
Let us work together to gain mahabbatillah and mardhatillah
It is never too late
BUT
Rest assured that
it is a long and challenging journey
There are times that you feel exhausted
There are times that you feel at loss
BUT
We have Allah
Allah is enough for us

Alif Lam Mim; This is the book (al-Quran); in it is guidance, sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah; Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them; And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter; They are on (true guidance), from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper.
[al-baqarah 2:1-5]

Like what Yaacub a.s. said to his sons, I only share all these pain and sadness with Allah [Yusuf:86]. Share all the happiness, pain, gratitude and all the blessings with Allah. 'Talk' to Allah because Allah is so close, so near - ma'iyyatullah. May we see each other in jannatul firdausi. insya Allah.

Ighfirly ya Allah

Hati, bersabarlah

Assalammualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim

Subhanallah, alhamdulillah, lailaha ilallah, Allahu akbar. There are so many things to be done and sometimes, in the pursuit of settling the responsibilities that we bear in this world, we tend to miss our own spiritual fill. Lets take a breather [~_~]. Masha Allah. As we travel in this fana (mortal) life, there are times when we face trials and adversity. Sometimes, it does not come from our enemy, but from the people who we love and cherish. Why? When asked upon this, one could only say "be patient" but patience, is easier said than done.

As noted by Imam Ibn Qayyim r.h. (in his book, Patience and Gratitude - An Abridged Translation of uddat as-sabirin wa dhakirat ash-shakirin), patience is required in the following areas of life:

1. In worshipping Allah and following His commands
2. In abstaining from wrong actions
3. In accepting Allah's decree and ruling (qada' and qadr). This is the advice given bu Luqman when he told his son:

"O' my son! Establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just and forbid what is wrong; and bear with patient constancy whatever betide you; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs"
[Luqman 31:17]

Enjoining what is just includes doing good oneself, and forbidding what is wrong includes abstaining from wrong action onself.

All of us are aware of this, patience is easier said than done. A person who is facing adversity might see things differently as they are tested by Allah through their own nafs (emotional whims) and also by syaitan who will whisper poisonous words in the heart of the one who is tested. Hence, one must really practice patience at all times - which is extremely challenging.

That is why Allah stated clearly in the al-Quran:

"O ye who believe! Seek help with patient (perseverance) and Prayer: for Allah is with those who patiently persevere; And say not of those who are slain in the way of Allah: "They are dead." Nay, they are living, though ye perceive (it) not.; Be sure We shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. ; Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah we belong, and to Him is our return"; They are those on whom (descend) blessings from their Lord, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance."
[al-Baqarah 2:153-157]

For the ones who are tested by Allah, be patient. Be really patient. What matters most is that you know that what you did is for Allah and from Allah. Do not force things, rather take it slowly but surely. Strengthening one's iman is not easy. Therefore, be patient.

Tombo Ati

Peribadi berzikir
Zikir menjadi keperibadiannya
Allah tujuannya
Rasulullah s.a.w teladan dalam hidupnya
Dunia ini pun menjadi syurga sebelum syurga sebenarnya
Bumi menjadi mesjid baginya
Rumah, kantor (office), bahkan hotel sekalipun
menjadi musollah
baginya

Tempat ia berpijak, meja kerja, kamar tidur,
hamparan sejadah
baginya

Kalau dia bicara, bicaranya dakwah
Kalau dia berdiam, diamnya berzikir
Nafasnya, tasbih
Matanya, penuh rahmat Allah, penuh kasih sayang
Telinganya, terjaga
Fikirannya, baik sangka,

doanya diam-diam

Tangannya, bersedekah
Kakinya, berjihad, ia tidak mahu melangkah sia-sia
Kekuatannya, sillaturrahim
Kerinduannya, tegaknya syariat Allah
Kalau memang haq tujuannya,
maka sabar dan kasih sayang strateginya

Asma amanina - cita-citanya tertinggi dan teragung,
syahid di jalan Allah

Dan sungguh menarik, kesibukannya -
ia hanya asyik memperbaiki dirinya

Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim

Remember the Malay saying: 'Tak kenal maka tak cinta'. That is exactly what is happening between us and our beloved prophet s.a.w. As we are the last ummah, where we are tested with the fact that the prophet s.a.w is not with us. Sometimes it is very difficult for us to feel what the prophet s.a.w feel during his time, the ordeal that he s.a.w had to go through and the pain, sadness, anguish, worry that the prophet s.a.w feel. Hence, our responsibility is to learn about him, read his sirah, know his background, his characteristics and himself, as a father, a teacher, a nephew, a neighbour, an imam and as a husband. MashaAllah.

My Teacher - My Father

Subhanallah walhamdulillah lailaha ilAllah. Masha Allah. I want to share a lot about my beloved, my teacher and my father - Muhammad s.a.w. Masha Allah. Tabarakallah.

Muneeb al-Azdi, a companion of the prophet s.a.w said:
I saw the Messenger of God in the era of ignorance saying to the people: "Say, there is no God worthy of being worshipped except Allah, and you would be successful." There were those who spat in his face, those who threw soil in his face, and those who swore to him until midday. When (once) a certain young girl [Fatima az-zahra] came with a big container of water, he (s.a.w) washed his face and hands calmly and say: "O' daughter, do not fear your father will be humiliated or struck by poverty"
[Mu'jan al-Kabeer]

This is the level of patience that our prophet has. Subhanallah and he s.a.w is not even complaining. What about us? Have we ever started to spread the word of islam and face this type of ordeal? Masha Allah. If we had been mocked, jeered and even betrayed, the prophet s.a.w had gone through all of these and even worse. Yet, he still persevere. The reason: Ummati, Ummati, Ummati (My Ummah). He loved us more than a mother love her child. Subhanallah. Ya Rasul, ya habibi.

Umar ibn al-Khattab said:
"I entered the messenger's (s.a.w) house and I found him sitting on a mat. He had a leather pillow stuffed with fibres. He had a pot of water by his feet, and there were some clothes that hung from the wall. His side had marks due to the mat that he lay on. Umar wept when he saw this, and the messenger (s.a.w) asked him: 'Why do you weep?' Umar said: 'O' Prophet of God, Khosrau and Caesar enjoy the best of this world, and you are suffering in poverty?!' He said: 'Aren't you pleased that they enjoy this world, and we will enjoy the hereafter?'"
[HR al-Bukhari]

This is the level of his zuhud. The world is in his hand where it is not that important him nor does the world and its mortal beauty blinds him. The prophet aims for the akhirah - the joy and life in the hereafter. Subhanallah.

Actually, there are more that I wanted to share with you on our beloved prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) but for the time being, Allah only provide me with this amount of time & energy for this few characteristics. Insya Allah. There are more to come. Pray for me & for yourself & for every muslim in this whole wide world. Jazakumullahu khayran kathira.

Ya Habibi

Assalammualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim

[HR Bukhari]

Mengapa kita mencintai Rasulullah s.a.w?

Rasulullah ya habibi

Diriwayatkan daripada Abu ad-Darda' r.a. katanya: Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda: "Sesiapa yang berselawat kepadaku ketika pagi sebanyak 10 kali dan ketika petang sebanyak 10 kali, dia akan mendapat syafaatku pada hari kiamat nanti"
[HR at-Tabrani]

Masha Allah, tabarakallah. Insya Allah.

Muhasabah

Assalammualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim

ighfirly ya Allah, ana faqir ilayka

Maka, nikmat Tuhanmu yg manakah yang kamu dustakan?
[31 kali disebut Allah dalam surah ar-Rahman]

A worshipper worshipped Allah ta'ala for 50 years, so Allah ta'ala told him that He had forgiven him. The man said, "O' Allah, what is there to forgive when I have not committed a wrong action?" So Allah caused a nerve in his neck to give him pain, so he could not sleep or pray. When the pain eased and he was able to sleep, an angel came to him, so he complained to the angel of the pain he had suffered. The angel told him, "Your Lord says to you that your 50 years of worship is to pay for the soothing of your pain."

Ibn Abi'd-Dunya mentioned that Daud a.s. asked Allah, "What is the least of Your blessings?" Allah revealed to him, "O' Daud, take a breath." Daud a.s. did so, and Allah told him, "This is the least of My blessings on you."

From this we may understand the meaning of the hadith which was narrated by Zaid Ibn Thabit and Ibn Abbas r.a.: "If Allah was to punish the people of heaven and earth, He would have done that without being unjust towards them, and if He were to have mercy on them, His Mercy would be far better for them than their deeds." [HR Abu Daud]

In a sahih hadith the Messenger of Allah s.a.w. said: "No one will attain salvation by virtue of his deeds." The people asked, "Not even you, O' Messenger of Allah?" He said,"Not even me, unless Allah covers me with His mercy and blessings."

The deeds of man cannot pay for even one of the many blessings of Allah, because even the smallest of Allah's blessings and favours outweight the deeds of man. So, we must always bear in mind the rights which Allah has over us.
